Dr. Seulyn Lee Au

A proud graduate of Kamehameha School, Dr. Au is the first Native Hawaiian Optometrist in the State of Hawaii. She began her academic journey at Pacific University in Oregon and later earned early admission to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.

Dr. Au's professional journey led her to Philadelphia, where she served as the managing doctor for the Philadelphia Vision Center for three years. Returning to Hawaii, she established the state's sole non-profit eye care clinic, The Kalihi-Palama Optometry Clinic, where she passionately served as Director for 13 years.

As an adjunct Associate Professor with the Pacific University College of Optometry, the University of Missouri School of Optometry, and the College of Optometry at Waterloo, Dr. Au contributes to the education of future optometrists.

Her impressive career also includes a significant tenure with LensCrafters, where she earned the prestigious LensCrafters Nationwide Office of the Year award for 2000. Over the past 25 years, Dr. Au has served as the Managing Optometrist for all LensCrafters locations in the state, including Ala Moana, Pearlridge, Kahala, Windward, and Maui.

In 2014, Dr. Au transitioned from corporate practice to establish a private group practice at 1580 Makaloa (Kapiolani Business Plaza) #950, across from Don Quixote. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she resides in Makiki Heights with her husband, attorney Marvin Dang, and their two children, Tiffany and Chad.
